Lighthouse Christian Radio Ministry
I was anxious to return to San Pedro Town after the NRB Convention to share with the crew of the encouragements that Lighthouse Christian Radio was to so many broadcasters and friends of the ministry who has stood by us and participated greatly in our upgrade project and support over the years. We have implement ‘live’ broadcasting over the months and it’s allowing us to develop relationships building between the announcers and our listeners. Dennis has the morning shift from 8 AM – Noon and Simon is on from 1 PM – 6 PM. Simon, our missionary from Germany, is doing very well with announcing and has been a great help with the various task around the radio station and ministry.We have been greatly blessed by visitors in our Guest Apartment from the Netherlands. Frederik & Louise and their 3 daughters came to Belize for the wedding of their son, Simon. We made arrangements with a local pastor for the Dutch family to use both the Guest Apartment and the Staff Apartment. His daughter was marrying Simon. Upon meeting the soon to be married couple and finalizing the accommodations, they asked me if I would perform the ceremony for them. I was very surprised by this request and after meeting with them for several hours, I felt honored to be apart of their special day. Once again I thank the Lord for the ways that He works to bless others and us in the process. The bride, Ana Karolina, was born in Honduras and grew up in Nicaragua and moved to Australia where she met Simon who was born in Netherlands where he just completed his doctorate. They met at church in Australia, fell in love and came to Belize to marry. As you can see from that brief, very brief story, God’s hands on their lives and again, I marvel at what God does as we are available to Him. The wedding was last Saturday and God’s blessings and presence was truly there. Please pray for this couple that their lives would touch many wherever the Lord leads them in the future.
